• “Vibes Don’t Lie” by Leon Thomas

  The rise of Leon Thomas has been amazing to watch, and is truly well deserved. His new album “MUTT” has a ton of gems to pick from, but my personal favourite is “Vibes Don’t Lie”. The song title says it all, the vibes are immaculate and Leon continues to prove that R&B is flourishing despite the naysayers. - Gaellan

• “Squeeze 1St2” by Ab-Soul

  Ab-Soul is already a great rapper but he’s never been in a bag like this, if he keeps dropping music with this sound, he could have a successful resurrection of his career. It won’t be pleasurable to everyone listening, but this will thrive in the underground rap scene, which is in a VERY healthy place right now. I support this release and can’t wait to hear how his new album “Soul Burger” will sound…hoping it’s more of this. - Jay

• “Original Nuttah” by Uk Apache & SHY FX 

  With the birth of my son I’ve been feeling nostalgic. Going back to eras and listening to shit I may not have appreciated in my younger years.  This week, I’m picking Uk Apache & Shy FX - Original Nuttah. Blast this at ignorant levels during your workout and throw a dumbbell or 2 across the room to really make your presence felt. 🫡✌🏽 - Aaron

Albums/EPs You Need to Hear

• ‘Deutsche Marks 4’ by Willie The Kid & V DOn

  Willie The Kid only gets better with time, a vet in the rap game, who’s not showing any signs of slowing down. What I like the most about this album and particularly this type of rap, is it keeps you motivated. Rappers like Willie have been in the game so long at this point, he’s teaching you how to maintain your hustle and build your business the right way. I also discovered the producer V Don through their Deutsche Marks series and he’s on point. This is a must cop vinyl for me, well done Willie. - Jay
